The Red White was introduced to the market in 1998 according to the timeline of discus hobbyists. It is a bicolor discus with red and white distributed across its body. It originates from the crossbreeding of Pigeon Blood with Snow White or Albino discus.
Appearance
Body with distinct areas of white and red-orange distributed irregularly or bicolor. No uniform bars. Eyes can be red or white. The color distribution is unique to each specimen. Dramatic bicolor appearance.
🧬 Genetic background
Pigeon Blood × Snow White / Albino. Inherits partially the PB gene (orange-red areas) and partially depigmentation (white areas). The color distribution is determined by genetic mosaicism.
