Description
Brilliant Turquoise are completely covered with turquoise stripes, with no visible background. It is one of the first 'show quality' discus created by Dr. Schmidt-Focke.
🌍 Origin & History
Brilliant Turquoise was created by Dr. Schmidt-Focke and introduced in 1976, simultaneously with Red Turquoise. It is characterized by a body fully covered in turquoise stripes on a turquoise background — practically solid turquoise.
Appearance
Body completely covered with shiny turquoise stripes — the background is invisible due to the density of the stripes. Effect of a solid, shiny turquoise-metallic body. Red eyes.
🧬 Genetic background
Turquoise × selection for maximum stripe coverage. Dr. Schmidt-Focke produced a discus with 100% turquoise coverage, a uniformly 'brilliant' body.
